Cheryl and Koun, Hot and Dry!!!

This pass weekend was horrible! “as weather goes”, but my couple were determined to have fun and make everything work! We managed to find every dry spot in the city and Cheryl and Koun rocked it!

Koun and I go way back into our junior high school days, we were volleyball enemies then became really good friends. I was so nice walking into the reception with so many familiar faces. I ended up staying till midnight catching up with people I haven’t seen for 10 + years. It was so much fun!

This post has so many pics of Cheryl, she’s just so beautiful! I just luv her!! Cheryl and Koun, thank you so much for being such an amazing sports, your attitude really change the dynamic of the day. Even though you didn’t get the sunny wedding you dreamed of, I hope I did a good enough job… Enjoy your photos! And thanks for the amazing time!

I will be in Vancouver next week to shoot a wedding, please email me if you need anything, I should have internet during my whole stay in Beautiful Vancouver! Have a great week everyone!

The Tran Wedding (Cathy & Tony)

Hey Guys!

Sorry for the late post this week, ran out of storage on the old harddrive and had to rush out and got a 2TB, I should be good for another 5 weddings… LOL!

Had a really crazy time on Saturday, Tony’s dad name is also Nghia Tran, how awesome is that? Kinda weird seeing his name on the invitations. The weather was HOT! but we manage to get some awesome shots, I think we all ran out of gas toward the end of the formal photos and decided to have 30 mins break before the reception. Trish Palud my awesome assistance and I headed to the King’s Head for a cool drink, while we were there we ran into some old friends, it was such a nice break.

The reception was at Kum Koon Gardens, if you’ve never been there before for a reception you are missing out!!! We had a 12 course meal, that’s right 12 courses! after 8 courses I had to tap out, defeated again by Kum Koon :(

Cathy and Tony, thank you so much for being so awesome! And Cathy… (saying this in an Asian accent, it sounds better that way) “welcome to the Tran Clan!”

Check out the Rockblog.com for more photos of Cathy and Tony, we had a run in with the Kamps! hahaha (evil laugh!).

Adrienne and Rich, sitting a tree, k - i - s - s - i - n - g…

Adrienne and Rich! Now married!!!

Wow. What a fantastic wedding, the weather finally warmed up and we took full advantage. Adrienne and Rich were amazing in front of the camera, did exactly what I wanted them to do without telling them. In photo 1 and 2, Rich teared up when he saw Adrienne for the first time, a very touching moment, Rich is very sweet guy. My assistance asked me why my brides are all amazingly beautiful and fun, I replied, because she passed the written N+ exam ;) Just kidding! Without question Adrienne is gorgeous.

I had an amazing time and thank you so much for rockin’ camera on Saturday! Check the Rock Blog tomorrow for more photos and Facebook, please be my friend, :)

Michelle “Shoe” and Donnie

Michelle (aka Shoe) and I have gone way back in my Engineering days, I meet Shoe at Acrylon Plastic my first and last Engineering job. Shoe always makes me laugh doesn’t matter what the situation is. We remain friends through all these years, Shoe is a very special person in my life and so happy that we still keep in touch. When Shoe contacted me and asked if I can do her wedding, I was already booked. She worked everything around me just to have me shoot her wedding, how sweet is that?!?

Michelle and Donnie, I wish you guys the best in your marriage and looking forward to shoot many of your babies. It was an honour to be your wedding photographer/friend.

Nghia :)

Guess who’s six months today?!

I can’t believe it! Finn turned six months today. Where does time go? He’s such a little ham today, I got him the studio to do a couple shots and he wouldn’t have anything to do with it. Constantly moving and grabbing everything is sight, avoiding the camera at every chance, it was impossible to do it alone. I’m going to try it again next week with the help of Kris. Have a great weekend everyone!

Terri-Lynn and Brett - Brandon, MB

What a small world we all live in, I was shooting Terri-Lynn and Brett’s wedding on the weekend in Brandon and decided to go to the rehersal. The minister came up to me,  said hi and told me that his son works in Winnipeg as a wedding photographer too, “he owns Kamp Photography, you might heard of him?”…. LOL… IT’S Jake’s Dad!

John Oldenkamp, gotta be the coolest Minister I’ve meet to date. I asked him what was the house rules, he replied… “I have no rules, my son hates anal Minister and laughs”. It was a pleasure working with you John and hope our paths cross again.

Terri-Lynn and Brett were so much fun and amazing to work with! I love small town, Brandon has a very special place in my heart, when my family and I first moved to Canada, Brandon was our first home. We lived there for almost 4 years. Great childhood memories.

When I arrived a local photographer by the name of Craig Demaer texted me and ask if I needed someone to show me around town and also to be a second shooter. How cool is that? I accepted his offer and had a blast with him. Thanks a Million Craig!!!

Terri-Lynn and Brett, thank you so much for being so amazing. Your families were so nice to me and made me feel so at home. Thank you so much for inviting Kris and Finn to the wedding, they had a great time in Brandon. If any of your friends want me to shoot their weddings, I’ll be there in a heart beat! Enjoy your preview!

Renee and Nana

What an amazing wedding I had on the weekend. Renee and Nana are one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever meet. Both families were so caring and accepting me as a part of their day, I just wanted to say thank you so much for the amazing fun day.

Renee and Nana are absolutely stunning! It was so easy to do my job when they look like models. Thank goodness the weather was warm and the sun came out when we needed it :)

Renee and Nana’s first dance WAS AMAZING!!!!! It started out slow, really slow…. then they both broke out to a full on hip hop perfectly synchronized dance moves right out of MTV. Gary and Joan from National Video was there to capture it on Video, can’t wait to see it again ;)

Anyway, picture time!

Daisy and Mike

WOW…. what an amazing wedding! Daisy and Mike were amazing!

On Friday I drove around I found this location near their church in St-Paul, a big thank you goes out to Denise and Renee for letting us use your property. Daisy and Mike have this crazy chemistry together, you can totally feel it in the pictures.

The reception was the most unique reception I’ve ever shot, there was Star Wars, Kill Bill, Samurai, Fight…. Oh the fight… All the guests sat around and watch Manny Pacquiao completely dominated fight and won the belt, what a great way to start the night. Thank you for the experience! Now I have a story to tell when people ask me about my most unique reception ;)

Thank you Daisy and Mike for believing in me and trusting me to take your whole wedding day in my hands. I hope you love your pictures as much as I love taking them. Enjoy!
